Back by popular demand, Just Gazal returns to Innishari!
Just Gazal is a musical storytelling initiative that reimagines classical Urdu ghazals for today’s listener.
Led by vocalist and harmonium player Rahul Renkuntalwar, each sher unfolds with emotional depth. Tanmay Mathew adds rich keyboard textures, while tabla virtuoso Vaibhav Duratkar, known for his work with Rekha Bhardwaj, Ali Sethi, and folk band Nyasa, brings rhythmic finesse. Narrator Imroz Khan, an acclaimed spoken-word artist, ties it together with sharp, evocative storytelling.
