Join us for a mesmerizing musical evening Barahmasi at Innishari Studio, with a unique interactive presentation by a talented mother-daughter duo, Kanakshree Bhatt and Savni Bhatt. They will perform the 12 semi-classical forms of Indian music that resonate through the year. Delve into the harmonious world of Indian classical music, where each note is steeped in tradition and brought to life with the passion of two generations.

About the artists:

Kanakshree Bhatt

Born in a traditional music family Kanakshree belongs to the musical heritage of the great Harmonium maestro Pandit Bandubhaiya Choughule as his granddaughter. She is ICCR empanelled and graded B High by All India Radio. She commenced her vigorous training under the guidance of Mrs. Kalpana Zokarkar, disciple of Mama Saheb Mujumdar. Her pliant, polished and seasoned voice with open aakar and a meticulous adherence to the bandish, the mood and emotions expounded in ragas, beautifully mingle together into a scintillating and spell binding performance. Her presentation bears eloquent testimony to her determination, riyaaz, musical roots and learnings.

Savni Bhatt

Savni Bhatt, daughter and disciple of Kanakshree, was born and raised in Indore, and is currently based in Mumbai. She is a playback singer, songwriter, composer and music producer. She has sung for various films including My Lek and Rainbow. Her song ‘Asatana Tu’ from the film My Lek has been a part of the Mirchi Top 20. Savni is also an independent musician and experiments with an array of genres that displays her varied skill set. With a versatile range of singing from Indian Classical Music to Pop in diverse languages from Hindi to Marathi and Bangla to English, her music tries to unfold possibilities of the art in a modern age. She commenced her training in Hindustani Classical Music at a very young age in Gwalior Gharana under the guidance of her mother. She is a recipient of the CCRT scholarship for young artists for Ghazals.
